Salsa En Fuego LATIN DANCE CONCERT AND SHOW is a registered event that TJP created in 2008.
SALSA EN FUEGO 2008 INFO: The first Salsa En Fuego event was held on January 26th, 2008 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa. It featured The Son Caribe Band, Dj Tiger and Las Munecas Dance Troup from Oahu. This was a new event for Kona, and was a great success. Salsa En Fuego II was held on May 31st, 2008 also at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa. This event featured Salsa Choreographer Alex DaSilva and partner performing from Fox TV “So you think you can dance”. This was a spectacular show with the hot Latin rythms of the Son Caribe Band and Dj Tiger. This event was an even greater success than the first. Prior to Salsa II, a dance workshop with Alex DaSilva was offered. It was amazing! Sponsored in part by Big Island Honda. Salsa En Fuego III was held again at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa on October 4th, 2008. Back by extreme popular demand, this event featured Alex DaSilva and parter Alien Ramirez from Fox TV “So you think you can dance” with new salsa dance routines. The grammy nominated group “Son Caribe band” came back with a new repetoire of music, along with Dj Tiger and two very large dance floors! This event was a success with over 400 dancers on the floor! Sponsored in part by Big Island Honda. There were a variety of vendors at all events selling dance fans, shoes, botique clothing, dance apparel, sunglasses and more. Salsa En Fuego 2009 was held Feb. 21, 2009 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa Convention Center. This event featured world renowned international Latin sensation, Luisito Rosario, from NYC and 2004 Grammy Nominees Son Caribe. It also featured performances and dance workshops by the 3rd place champions of the ESPN World Salsa Champions and 1st place reigning champs of the Mayan World Salsa Champions, Charlene Rose and David Nieto. Hosted by Lyman Medeiros of Big Island TV. There was a complimentary salsa lesson from 8-9 taught by Salsa No Ka Oi Dance group from Oahu. Sponsored in part by Big Island TOYOTA. Salsa En Fuego 2010 Happened on March 20, 2010 at the Hilton Waikoloa Grand Ballroom on the Big Island of Hawaii. This event featured the CD release of Hawaii’s leading Latin band from Oahu, Son Caribe, and dance performances by World Salsa Champions Alien Ramirez and Christian Oviedo. They are also the winners of the Mayan World Bachata Competition. Alien Ramirez was an assistant choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance” and Christian Oviedo was a guest performer on “Dancing With The Stars”. DJ Tiger played a few sets and Lyman Medeiros of Big Island Television was Master of Ceremonies for the evening. This was an extravagant event that the Hilton Waikoloa Village and Bacardi presented with Tiger Jones Productions.
